37Signals use Macs

Posted on October 23, 2006, by admin, under Blog, Events.

Well, it’s no surprise that the company behind Ruby On Rails and Basecamp are doing their stuff in Apple’s hardware but now it’s recorded on video and on Apple’s Education site for everyone to see.

The video also provides a quick profile of 37Signals, their goals, philosophy (no bloated software, small is beautifull, etc, etc) and plans for the future.

You can find the video here. (you’ll need Quicktime, doh!).

think outside the box

Posted on October 19, 2006, by admin, under Blog, Web, design.

pluginOnce in a while someone decides to break all conventions and think “outside the box”, in other words, forget what is done so far and assumed as “normal” and create something new, beautifull and usefull.

Designer Julia Burke did this and won a silver medal from Idea Awards, with her Plug-In design which avoids you bending down to insert a device into the power outlet and looking plain stupid with your arse up.

Anyway, look at the full info at PLUG-IN - Why Weren’t They Designed Like This In The First Place? (oh Gizmo).

Pokemon personality test

Posted on October 18, 2006, by admin, under Blog, Games.

I never thought I would *ever* write about Pokemons in my journal, oh well, there’s always a first time.

mudkipNintendo (europe) created a site where you can check what Pokemon are you based on your personality! You just have to answer a few questions and off you go.

It seems I’m a MudKip, anyway I don’t know much about Pokemon so I don’t know if it’s the most powerfull one out there but by the look of the little critter, it seems more like it to be the cute one who gets beat up every episode. *sigh*

Anyway, to discover what Pokemon you are head over to Pokemon personality test.
Some comments would be nice, which Pokemon are you?
