Faceyourmanga or not
Posted on August 22, 2008, by psousa, under Blog, Web.
This afternoon when I looked around in Twitter it seemed most of my friends had their avatars replaced with a manga version, after some digging around I found out the culprit is Faceyourmanga.

You can create an avatar for yourself and customize it with plenty of options (clothes, faces, masks, whatever pleases you the most).
What’s so amazing is how quickly it spread on services like Twitter.
Meanwhile it seems there’s already an stopyourfacemanga.

what’s in your dock or sidebar?
Posted on August 20, 2008, by psousa, under Apple, Blog, Other.
So, my question for today is: What applications do you keep on your dock/sidebar? Which essential applications do you use daily?
The following is part of my dock:
- Finder
- Mail (although I still prefer the Google Mail look and feel)
- DashBoard
- Firefox (has all my essential development plugins)
- Safari (faster browsing)
- iTunes
- MAMP (very easy and painless php+mysql+apache on a Mac)
- Textmate (my favourite editor)
- Pixelmator (I learned to forget about Photoshop because I only use 10% of it)
- GoPlan (using Fluid)
- Transmit (ftp made easy)
- Stickies (lot’s of them)
- Calendar
- Terminal (never knew I would say this but I can’t live without it now)
- Control Panel
- and the usual folders and trash bin.

MoodStream online interactive inspiration
Posted on August 14, 2008, by psousa, under Blog, Web.
It’s kind of hard to descrive MoodStream from GettyImages but you can think of it as a sort of interactive inspirational browser tool based on your mood and state of mind.

You can choose several presets or make your own selection before being bombarded by a stream of images, music and video straight from Getty’s archives. And of course you can find out more about what you’re hearing or seeing. Very worth watching and experiencing.
Oh and btw, this was my last work day at my current company, which means I’ll have a few surprises in the coming times.
It was a hard choice and a risk which I hope will pay out in the future. More info soon. :)
